[Explosive Dawn] Fall, Week 10 - Ready for the Kill

Greetings,

Well, I just got home from a successful Team-on-One with our professor, and it went rather well. We got a lot of things decided that really needed to get decided. We're really heading in a good direction, I think, and I can't wait to get things into gear. Here's a nice numbered list of some of the things that came out of the meeting:

1. We've given our game our old team name. The game is now called Explosive Dawn.
2. We are now called Little Black Dress Productions, and that excites me. (As surprising and untrue as it may sound, I was actually not the one to come up with this name.)
3. We are considering changing art styles for next semester from pixelated to calligraphy style.
4. Awesome work plans and much needed weekly task lists.
5. General idea of waves of enemies and game progression.
6. Team exploration and bonding stuff.

Oh, and I cannot forget to mention that we got a new dev! I was actually on a team with him my Freshman year (the same team I was on with our old tech director). He's got a lot to offer to the team, and we're very glad to have him with us.

So, the next few weeks will be busy. I'm doing a lot of art work for the game. I'll be doing many animations as well as screens, UI, and well, everything visual. I will be busy over the Christmas holidays recreating this art, should we finalize the decision to change art styles.

I must away to other homework for tonight. We plan on getting our game to playtesting this Friday, so I'm looking forward to that. We'll see how things go by the end of Week 11. Until then, peace.

Sincerely,
Alicia.
